2020 AEP is just around the corner. Take your product training now!
After you have taken care of your contracting and AHIP training and certification, there is just one more thing to accomplish to be considered Ready-to- Sell (RTS) for the 2020 Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)! Take the MA and PDP Product Training available via the link on Sales Professional Access (SPA) www.mutualofomaha.com/broker. The training will give you a comprehensive overview of the Medicare Parts C and D products available through Mutual of Omaha Medicare Advantage Company (MOMAC), Medicare Advantage Insurance Company of Omaha (MAICO), and Omaha Health Insurance Company (OHIC).
Medicare Advantage – The MA product training link appears on the MA product page. To access simply go to Products > Medicare Solutions > Medicare Advantage and use the product training link that appears on this page.
Prescription Drug Plans – The link appears on the PDP product page. Go to Products > Medicare Solutions > Prescription Drug Plans and look for the product training button.
Mutual will be notified when you’ve completed your training.
Contracting for Mutual of Omaha’s Medicare Advantage markets
We are excited to announce that Mutual of Omaha’s Medicare Advantage plans will be offered in the following markets for Plan Year 2020:
Cincinnati* — Boone, Butler, Clermont, Campbell, Hamilton, Kenton and Warren counties
Dallas/Ft. Worth – Collin, Dallas, Denton, Rockwall and Tarrant counties
Denver – Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Clear Creek and Gilpin counties
El Paso – El Paso county
San Antonio* – Bexar county
*Also available for the remainder of Plan Year 2019
If you are not currently contracted for Plan Year 2019, you will need to execute a consolidated Mutual of Omaha Medicare Advantage Company (MOMAC), Medicare Advantage Insurance Company of Omaha (MAICO), and Omaha Health Insurance Company (OHIC) contract. This contract combines all Medicare Advantage and PDP plans into a single contract . . . potentially giving you access to the full array of our Medicare Plans. (Please note: you will need to be licensed and appointed in the states or markets you wish to sell. You will also need to be Ready-to-Sell as outlined by CMS.) Please contact your up-line if you have not received contracting information.
If you are currently contracted for Medicare Advantage through Mutual of Omaha Medicare Advantage Company (MOMAC) and PDP thru Omaha Health Insurance Company (OHIC) you will need a Medicare Advantage Insurance Company of Omaha (MAICO) Amendment to sell in the new markets of Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver and El Paso if you plan to sell outside the current MOMAC markets. This new company is for Medicare Advantage plans rolling out for 2020. You do NOT want to miss out.
And remember, to earn renewal compensation you will need to be Ready-to-Sell for the plan year in which compensation is to be paid. That means, to be paid 2020 renewal compensation for plans you enrolled in 2019, you will need to be Ready-to-Sell no later than December 31, 2019. Don’t miss out on renewal commissions!
